Insurance, Medical Care and Responsibilities

The Tel-Aviv University Electives Program, the Medical Students’ Organization of Tel-Aviv University, and all affiliated department, hospitals, clinics, dorms, social programs (organizers, operators and hosts) and any other related persons or place are not responsible in any way for the health and safety of Program participants, and neither provides nor offers medical care or insurance coverage to its participants.

Applicants who fail to provide documentation of the following required insurances to the Electives Program authorities risk having their elective and housing automatically canceled without compensation or refund of any fees.

Any inappropriate behavior on the part of the participant may result in the summary ejection of the student from the Electives program, without any refund of handling or housing fees.

Malpractice insurance is not obligatory, but recommended.

Foreign residents must be in possession of Personal Health & Accident Insurance, including hospitalization valid in Israel, during the entire applied elective/housing period.

Israeli residents must be in possession of Personal Accident Insurance; and insurances with "Bituach Leumi", "Bituach Briut Mamlachti" and "Kupat Holim". Participants in possession of the above insurances will be recognized by "Bituach Leumi" as Tel-Aviv University students undergoing "Hachshara Miktzoit".
